Congratulations to Orla Hayes from Kanturk Co Cork who is the 2019 winner of the €2,000 Tama Ireland College Bursary. The bursary is awarded annually to a student registered in an Agri related 3rd level college course
Orla is currently in her 2nd year studying a level 8 Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Science – TL848 in Tralee IT.

“I choose this course because I did agricultural science for my leaving cert and I really enjoyed it. I always had a passion for agriculture coming from a farming background that specialises in beef and agricultural contracting. My father mainly does round baling with his fusion bale but also does some other contracting too. I did most of the raking for him over the summer and weekends. Being involved in the farm at home and in the contracting business I realise how important good netting and plastic is for preserving the bales properly and for the baler to run smoothly”.

The 2019 FTMTA Farm Machinery Show took place at Punchestown Racecourse near Naas, Co. Kildare on February 7th, 8th and 9th.
The show was the largest of its kind and Tama Ireland was there too.
We presented our wide range of Bale Netwraps and Baler Twines (see picture below).
